Visiting Frog Farm:
Day visits: You are welcome to visit the farm on open farm
days. Pre-arranged visits are also possible. Our chickens, ducks
and geese free-range and are disturbed by other dogs and running
children! Please leave your pets at home and teach your children
not to chase the chickens.
Activities at Frog Farm:
If you visit us, you are likely to participate in some of these
activities:
* Sheet mulching
* planting or harvesting perennial herbs
* vegetables or trees
* weeding and fertilizing
* processing and storing food and herbs,
* feeding chickens and collecting eggs
* various building projects (chicken coops, sheds, bath house, earthen
oven, sauna, ponds, rainwater storage tank, etc.)
Farm Apprenticeship:
Apprentices must submit an application. We offer camping space or
simple furnished rooms (3 available), meals, and pre-arranged transportation
from the Grants Pass greyhound station. The apprenticeship

includes 6 hours of farm work, 5 days a week (though certain times
of year may require longer hours). After a trial period of 3 days,
you are eligible for apprenticeship for one week up to 3 months.
We have good drinking water (from a well), a community
building (the "barn"), an octagon (covered space for workshops),
greenhouses (a hothouse, shade house, cold frames), a composting
outhouse, playground, small ponds, gardens, musical instruments,
libraries (focusing on health care and alternative living skills),
wood-fired hot tub, walking access to the east fork of the Illinois
river, chickens, ducks, geese, bees, cats and dogs, skunks, foxes,
raccoons, deer, frogs, fish, etc. Coming soon are goats, pigs, sheep
